Desarrollo de imágenes en línea: de las huellas visuales a las voces públicas

Resumen
Las imágenes en línea podrían ser consideradas como rastros de la dinámica de los problemas sociales. Asimismo, estas imágenes se inscriben en vastas infraestructuras algorítmicas. Con la intención de dar cuenta de ―y experimentar con― alguna de estas dos especificidades, o ambas, se han elaborado registros de investigación específicos. El propósito de la presente contribución es presentar un posible cruce de los registros existentes y extender el papel que se asigna a las visualizaciones de grandes corpus de imágenes más allá de los propósitos puramente analíticos o críticos. Para ello se describe el proyecto “DEPT.”. Durante dicho proyecto, una serie de artefactos visuales (visualizaciones de datos y medios, catálogos, tableaux y partituras) fueron concebidos con el fin de acercar progresivamente las imágenes en línea a entornos públicos y participativos para indagar en cuestiones situadas. El artículo detalla las necesidades, los marcos teóricos y las opciones metodológicas, junto con los artefactos visuales concebidos en el proyecto, para desarrollar imágenes en línea como expresiones compartidas y colectivas de los temas que se investigan.
