Abstract

researchabout the actUalevolution of the coastalzone between Tunquén and Santo Domingo (33°16'-33°38' S) in central Chile, shows the principal types of responses due to anthropic interferences, in a fragil morphoclimatíc environment. Sensible areas corresponding to geomorphological units are distinguished, constituted by "rasas" and sand dunes. in which various human activities are he/d. The main actual processes are re/ated to the development of linear erosion and reactivation of stabilized dunes by the wind.
