Abstract

Fuerzas especiales by Diamela Eltit is a narrative text that posits the existence of a social order oriented towards the destruction of the popular subject, who will face the utopia of change, sustained by the foundation of a new action frame. It is about the emergence of a virtual reality or hyperreality, devoid of communicational content, which allows the characters to access a simulated utopia. However, the hyperreality operates as an empty prosthesis, unable to generate a vindicatory narrative with effects on reality, as heroic myths once offered. If the legacy of the utopian reality was the concretion of a heroic resistance narrative, the new situation will mark the failure of the utopian narrative, now undermined from within by the false possibility of exit offered by the access to the network.
